As the Aquatics Director for the YMCA of the Seacoast, you’ll be responsible for the oversight, directing, budgeting and evaluation of the related programs. This position oversees one indoor and two outside seasonal pools, overseeing approximately 30 team members.
This individual should have experience managing teams, facilitating programs, building community connections, and be driven by innovation with a focus on risk-management. To thrive in this role, candidates should bring a background of progressive aquatics experience including management of team members and the ability to successfully prioritize and respond to a variety of tasks such as programs and emergency response measures Candidates should have a minimum of four years’ experience leading Aquatics teams and/or related programs Current Lifeguard Certification and current First Aid/CPR for the Professional Rescuer Current Lifeguard Instructor Certification, or ability to become certified within three months of hire Candidates should bring experience and an understanding of administrative and human relations skills as they would apply to an Aquatics department A bachelor’s degree is recommended though not required
