Village of Buffalo Grove, Police Management Analyst

The Village of Buffalo Grove is seeking a Management Analyst within the Police Department. The Management Analyst for the Police Department will be responsible for overall management of CALEA accreditation and department grants, lead ongoing strategic planning efforts, and assist with coordination of all department training. This position will also participate in setting departmental goals and objectives; coordinating and compiling departmental or divisional performance measures, researching best practices and benchmarks, performing trend analyses of operational and financial data, and generating monthly and other statistical progress reports. A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Criminal Social Justice, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field is required, a Master’s degree is preferred and experience performing statistical analysis and research, preferred experience in the law enforcement field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
