We are looking for a dedicated Utility Person in our Bridge Cell as a Sander, Stainer, and Buffer to join our friendly team in the guitar industry. In this role, you will be responsible for taking raw wood pieces and transforming them into beautiful, polished products that delight our customers. Your day-to-day will involve operating various tools and equipment to sand, stain, and buff wood surfaces, ensuring every piece meets our high-quality standards. Come be part of our journey to provide quality and style to every piece we create!ResponsibilitiesOperate sanding, staining, and buffing equipment to finish wood pieces.Inspect finished goods for quality assurance and consistency in appearance.Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding and cleaning.Operators would need to perform the above primary operations with the safe use of woodworking equipment/machinery (drill press, pin router, hand sanders, buffing wheels and various hand tools).Other additional tasks may include gluing, sawing, cutting, sanding, cleaning and preventative maintenance.Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.Ensure proper maintenance of tools and equipment to prolong lifespan and improve performance.Team members are also expected to be flexible as they are sometimes asked to move to different jobs in the Sub-Assembly, Machine Room, Sawmill and throughout the entire manufacturing process.RequirementsSome experience in sanding, staining, and buffing wood products would be beneficial.Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality results.Familiarity with various finishing techniques and materials, including stains, and oils.Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in completing tasks.Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating equipment safely.Strong communication skills and a ability to work effectively in a team environment.Willingness to learn new techniques and processes to improve craftsmanship.Occasional sitting and sometimes continuous standing/walking throughout a normal workdaySafety glasses and hearing protection are required in designated areas.Work Hours: 1st shift - 5:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. or 5:45a.m. - 3:15 p.m. Monday through FridayProduction demands may necessitate overtime Monday through Thursday.
