Your New Role… We seek a talented Editorial Producer to join The Lead with Jake Tapper in Washington DC. Your Role Responsibilities… Booking guests and coordinating logistics (transport, guestbook, makeup, etc.) Conducting pre-interviews and updating panelists on topics and research Pitching new voices for the show Booking swiftly during breaking news and planning future bookings Reacting quickly during live breaking news, lining up officials, lawmakers, and reporters Using social media to find contacts involved in breaking news in remote areas Developing and maintaining guest relationships Setting up interviews, researching stories, and working contacts for long-term bookings Performing other duties as assigned Travel may be required for bookings and during the show Your Qualifications & Experience… 3+ years of news production experience Strong knowledge of politics and current events, with talent development skills Ability to multitask and work quickly Willingness to work nights and weekends during breaking news Four-year college degree or equivalent experience Awareness of guests’ political leanings Strong organizational skills to manage multiple guests and relationships Collaborative work with the booking team for high-profile guests Our Values and Principles… At WBD, our guiding principles shape how we operate and get things done.
