Amazon Seller Services is seeking a Data Scientist to work on generative AI, statistical analysis, prescriptive and predictive analysis, and machine learning projects from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of statistics and machine learning algorithms, and practical experience in data collection, cleaning, and setup from enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand business problems and available data to identify suitable statistical or ML techniques to answer business questions. Assess solution feasibility and potential approaches based on data availability. Identify available data sources, coordinate with teams for data access and permissions. Prototype solutions and build models to test feasibility. Develop and train statistical and ML models, optimizing performance. Enhance existing processes with state-of-the-art generative AI models. Collaborate with tech teams to deploy models as services integrated into Amazon's marketplace and systems. Engage in reporting, data visualization, and applying appropriate modeling techniques to various problems, including fraud detection, performance improvement, and recommendation systems. Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab). 5+ years experience as a data scientist. Experience with statistical models such as multinomial logistic regression. Additional Requirements:
Experience collaborating with data engineers and business intelligence teams. Experience managing data pipelines. Leadership and mentorship experience within a data science team.
