Application Storage Engineer IV
to support the design and execution of utility-scale battery energy storage and medium-voltage distribution systems. This is a
customer-facing, hybrid technical role
that contributes to pursuits, third-party engineering reviews, and full project lifecycle design support — from early-stage concepts through construction. Key Responsibilities: Act as a lead technical engineer on 2–3 major storage design projects annually, supporting project development, detailed design, and construction coordination. Collaborate with project managers, design leads, and cross-disciplinary engineers to deliver compliant, high-quality energy storage design packages. Provide technical direction during proposal development, vendor selection, and preconstruction planning. Perform advanced calculations, electrical modeling, and system evaluations (e.g., S = P + jQ). Guide and mentor junior engineers, review their work for accuracy, and oversee QA/QC adherence. Conduct detailed analysis of vendor equipment, draft technical specifications, and contribute to procurement documentation. Interface directly with customers and partners to present their technical capabilities and solutions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum
7 years of electrical engineering experience , with a strong background in energy storage, T&D, solar, or renewable infrastructure. Strong understanding of battery energy storage systems (BESS), inverters, and medium-voltage electrical distribution. Proficient in engineering tools such as
CYMCAP, CDEGS, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam ; experience with
Procore or Unifier
is a plus. FE certification required;
PE license preferred . Ability to manage multiple projects and lead engineering tasks with limited supervision.
