With milling facilities in 12 locations across 9 countries and 11 trading offices in 10 countries, we produce approximately two million metric tons of grain-based products annually. We manage bulk freight and chartered vessels, overseeing logistics for both in-house and third-party customers. GENERAL PURPOSE The Data Analyst will utilize Power BI to create, implement, and oversee key business metrics and reporting across diverse data sets to identify opportunities for improving business and manufacturing processes. This role involves cross-departmental collaboration, engaging with data and employees throughout the organization, and providing the essential data and information necessary to drive impactful business improvements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop interactive, functional and visually appealing reports and dashboards. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements. Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability and quality for Power BI solutions. Ensure the scalability and performance of Power BI solutions. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy and relevance. Identify and recommend opportunities to automate reporting processes and reduce manual effort through reusable datasets or scheduled refreshes. Must stay informed about the latest features, updates, and best practices to utilize them effectively. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, IS, or Business Analytics required. 3-5 years’ experience with Power BI required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Experience working with data analysis and visualization tools Expertise of SQL queries and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Experience in data models and semantic models within Power BI Proficiency in DAX and Power Query An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving Strong understanding of reporting systems and data structures Strong written and presentational business communication skills Experience working with financial or manufacturing data is preferred Power BI certification is a plus WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is performed in a professional office environment and involves frequent contact with others as part of Seaboard’s collaborative culture. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and with sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks. Regular use of standard office equipment, such as computers and phones, is required. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended sitting and standing. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The position requires specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
