This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Operations (CG-DCO), Coast Guard Cyber Command Operations Department, DODIN Operations Division, Technical Management Branch located in Alexandria, Virginia.

Key Requirements: Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience includes: Performing technical (technology evaluation) and nontechnical (people and operations evaluation) risk and vulnerability assessments of relevant technology focus areas (e.g., local computing environment, network and infrastructure, enclave boundary, supporting infrastructure, and applications). Assisting with the development of agency positions on key government-wide policy initiatives, exercising independent judgment and discretion with DoD, DHS, OMB on national security systems (NSS), classified information, critical infrastructure, mission essential systems (MES), high value assets (HVA), or other USCG information systems, including management's position on IT cyber contract negotiations, acquisitions, and cybersecurity diagnostics and monitoring. Applying organizational security policies and procedures for control system environments to maintain security and ensure system availability. Supporting risk assessments by reviewing and documenting the implementation status of security requirements of control systems. In addition to the specialized experience, IT-related experience demonstrating the four competencies below is required: Attention to Detail:

Education cannot substitute experience at this grade level. Volunteer or unpaid experience (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) is credited as qualifying experience. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers to current or former political appointees. Disclosure is required if you have been a political appointee within the last 5 years.
