We are seeking candidates for a Global Events Manager position with a reputable company located in Boston, MA. The Global Events Manager will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of internal events designed to inform and engage company leaders and employees. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to develop and manage project timelines, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-impact global events across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of event planning experience in a corporate setting.

This is a 6-7-month contract position that will pay $45-55/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 3 days per week in their Boston office.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale internal events, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats such as global watch parties. Design engaging event experiences that reflect and reinforce company culture and brand identity across all locations. Develop, manage, and prioritize detailed project timelines and deliverables to ensure seamless execution. Lead vendor management, including outreach, scoping, scheduling, contracting, invoicing, and deliverable oversight to ensure alignment with event objectives. Collaborate with event production agencies and multiple vendors to build strong external partnerships and ensure high-quality delivery. Manage event budgets across all locations, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial alignment. Coordinate with global teams to ensure consistent communication, preparedness, and flawless execution across all internal event sites. Lead onsite event operations during execution week, overseeing setup, AV needs, vendor coordination, and team collaboration. Work closely with internal communications to support and align event messaging and promotional efforts. Provide additional event support and perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. 7–10+ years of experience in corporate event planning and coordination, with a strong background in managing global events. Demonstrated success in executing large-scale events across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to shifting priorities. Strong project management skills, with expertise in overseeing complex workstreams. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with SmartSheets is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities. Experience managing event budgets, including handling invoicing and vendor payments. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities with a high level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information. Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative team player.
