Job Summary

Sun is seeking a Sr. Director , Market Access Strategy & Pricing within its Market Access team in Princeton. The Sr Director, Market Access Strategy & Pricing will report into Head of Market Access. The Senior Director of U.S. Market Access Strategy & Pricing is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive market access launch plans for Sun Pharma’s medical and pharmacy benefit products. This includes setting brand-specific access goals, crafting strategies to achieve them through payer engagement, evidence generation, and pricing tactics, and leading cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Account Management, HEOR, and Public Policy. The role also involves monitoring the competitive landscape, managing rebate evaluations and life cycle management.

Responsibilities

Developing market access launch plans for medical and pharmacy benefit products in Sun Pharma areas of focus, including budget requirements and insights required for competitive launches Leveraging insights from previous launches and sharing relevant learnings with access strategy and pipeline strategy stakeholders as needed Establishing access goals by brand for products within Sun's portfolio Developing strategies and tactics to achieve access goals, including messaging, positioning, and leveraging Medical, HEOR & evidence assessments, advocacy groups, and a product’s clinical value proposition to secure competitive access Collaborating with Account Management team to execute on access strategies and gain insights into payer strategies to help ensure access upon launch during life cycle management Monitoring competitive landscape and payer trends to adjust access strategies as needed, anticipating impact on patients’ ability to gain access to the medications Own rebate ask evaluation process and lon Coordinate with public policy and government affairs vendors on opportunities to protect and gain access and stay up to date on market and legislative trends to adjust strategies Coordinate with HEOR/Medical teams to ensure alignment between evidence generation and market access for developing and evolving the value proposition Serve as Pricing Committee lead and manage agenda and content for meetings, in accordance with Charter and all relevant SOPs Oversee and monitor performance over time including leading GTN Market Access inputs and management, communicating ongoing updates to relevant internal stakeholders Providing a robust U.S. Market Access perspective to global and access strategy stakeholders to assess market access implications for BD and acquisition products and to support the development of market access strategies for pipeline assets

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA Health Policy or equivalent preferred 10+ years’ experience in U.S. managed care 4+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical strategy role Knowledge of the business models, influence/impact, and decision drivers of U.S. commercial and government payers as well as channel customers Market access strategy launch experience Understanding of access utilized by commercial and government payers under the medical and pharmacy benefits Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, work independently as well as with a team, possess strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Experience leading a cross-functional team of colleagues without a direct reporting relationship Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex strategic initiatives Ability to effectively communicate complex business challenges and data-driven recommendations to senior leaders Demonstrated experience in developing Payer and segment specific marketing insights and incorporating the payer into the brand/strategic planning process Up to 25% travel as required

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $235,500 to $288,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
