Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Lateral Recruiting Manager supports lateral search efforts by organizing and analyzing recruiting data, highlighting legal market trends, and supporting the Firm’s strategic growth initiatives, with a specific focus on targeted growth markets and practice areas. The Manager will lead initiatives to improve data structure and organization within recruiting systems to track, analyze, and identify trends that support decision-making through data-driven insights. Additionally, this role involves recurring contact with external recruiting agencies to realize strategic search efforts across the Firm. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of six (6) years of experience in recruiting or market analysis within a law firm, professional services or agency environment. Experience in a large law firm preferred. Knowledge of legal markets, industry practices is beneficial. Experience working with external recruiting agencies and understanding their role in the lateral hiring process is a plus. Experience with legal intelligence tools such as Leopard Solutions (or Firm Prospects, Pirical), Monitor Suite, Pitchbook, and other competitive intelligence software is preferred. Demonstrates proficiency in data analysis and the use of visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint), with advanced skills in Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros). Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors.
