. The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Epic Analyst, Inpatient Orders. The Epic Analyst, Inpatient Orders, initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues. Core Responsibilities: Collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access.
Serves as a primary support contact for application end‐users.
Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.
Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.
Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations.
Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Works with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.
Participates in on-call rotations and support and attend and participates in, applicable committees.
Maintains regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Remains knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions: As an Epic Senior Analyst – EpicCare Inpatient, you will: Serve as a primary support contact for application end‐users
Initiate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application
Initiate all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design
Perform the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validate the impacts to the workflow
Initiate the identification of issues and guide the work to resolve them
Support junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations
Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies
Work with stakeholders, business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs
Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure
Participate in on-call rotations
Attend and participate in applicable committees
Maintain regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings
Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
Become knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations

Epic ClinDoc, Orders, and ASAP Certifications required
Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
At least 3 years of Epic build experience
Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills
Familiarity with clinical workflows, preferred
Understanding of emergency department workflows and integration points, especially regarding patient movement (ADT) and charging, preferred
Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel
Problem Solving:
Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence
Dependability:
Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner

Learn University of Miami change control processes and required documentation associated for change management
Review University of Miami policies and procedures for clinical support staff
Complete IT scheduled compliance trainings.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
