Project Engineer

Project Planning and Coordination:
o Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and managing
the budgets for marine dredging and reclamation projects.
o Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure
alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
o Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays.
Technical Support:
o Provide technical expertise in marine engineering, dredging, and
reclamation activities.
o Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and
technical documents.
o Ensure that all engineering activities comply with project requirements,
industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Site Supervision:
o Oversee on-site engineering activities, including dredging, reclamation,
and coastal construction.
o Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and
adherence to safety protocols.
o Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to on-site challenges
Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports,
progress updates, and technical records.
o Assist in the preparation of project status reports for clients and senior
management.
o Ensure accurate and timely submission of project deliverables.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
o Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address
project-related queries and concerns.
o Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as required.
o Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Quality Assurance and Safety:
o Ensure that all engineering activities meet quality standards and project
specifications.
o Promote a culture of safety on-site and ensure compliance with health,
safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
o Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
Resource Management:
o Assist in the allocation and management of resources, including
equipment, materials, and personnel.
o Monitor resource usage and optimize efficiency to meet project goals.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, PMP) is a plus.
Experience Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marine construction, dredging, or reclamation projects. Proven experience in site supervision and project coordination. Familiarity with hydraulic, geotechnical, and structural aspects of marine projects will be a plus.
Skills: Proficiency in MS office and basic engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) and project management tools. Knowledge of maritime laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
