Job Description Summary The AI Staff Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing and executing AI-driven global service initiatives that enhance GE HealthCare's service delivery and operational efficiency. This role supports delivering key AI components and business capabilities across GE HealthCare Service offerings. The AI Staff Technical Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to implement AI solutions that improve service operational processes, data analytics, and automated decision-making systems while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards. Essential Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end delivery of AI projects from conception through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and service quality standards. Execute strategic AI initiatives and provide program status visibility to leadership. Lead cross-functional project teams including data scientists, AI engineers, service operations, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-powered service operational solutions. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent AI projects in various stages of the project lifecycle. Drive adoption of AI technologies in operational processes including predictive maintenance, automated diagnostics, resource optimization, and process automation. Ensure all AI projects comply with healthcare regulations (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR), quality management systems – Computerized System Validation (CSV), and GE HealthCare's Phase Review Discipline (PRD). Collaborate with IT Applications, IT operations, data engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with existing operational systems. Monitor project progress against established KPIs and SLAs, proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could impact timeline or quality deliverables. Facilitate stakeholder communication and change management processes to drive organizational adoption of AI-powered operational improvements. Support business case development and ROI analysis for AI project investments and operational improvements. Coordinate with global teams and manage projects across multiple time zones and cultural contexts. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, status reports, and lessons learned repositories. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM field. 5+ years of progressive project management experience with focus on technology implementations, preferably in AI/ML or data analytics projects. 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization environment. Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML technologies, data science methodologies, and their practical applications in operational environments. Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies and traditional project management frameworks. Experience with healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements (FDA, HIPAA, ISO standards preferred). Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Preferred Qualifications: PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials. Experience with AI/ML platforms, cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure), and data analytics tools. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives. Knowledge of operational excellence methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement). Familiarity with GE HealthCare tools and processes (Rally, ALM, ServiceNow). Experience with change management frameworks and organizational transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data privacy principles. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices for AI/ML systems. Excellent communication skills with ability to present to leadership. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven decision-making approach. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus across functional areas. Mentoring and coaching capabilities. Experience working with global teams. Understanding of QMS and Design Controls. Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 regulations related to AI/ML in healthcare.
