Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as we seek a highly motivated Solutions Architect to enhance our growing State and Local Government business within the World Wide Public Sector practice.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver cloud computing strategies using advanced technologies such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will engage directly with customers and collaborate with a broad ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the technical engagement and ensure success on implementation projects.
Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies.
Provide subject matter expertise on security related to customer applications.
Deliver exceptional technical design and thought leadership while collaborating with a world-class sales and business development team.
Capture and share best-practices within the AWS solutions architect community.

Qualifications:
2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
4+ years in relevant technology areas such as software development, cloud computing, or systems engineering.
5+ years of experience in IT development or consulting in software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with State and Local Government or Education sectors.
Prior experience in technology/software sales or consulting roles.
Intermediate/advanced knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure security requirements.

This position may require travel up to 30%. Our compensation packages are competitive, reflecting the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The starting base pay ranges from $118,200 to $204,300 per year, depending on experience and location.
