Senior Technology Consultant

Ariba, Inc. seeks a Senior Technology Consultant at our Palo Alto, CA location to support the technical workstream and the coordination of technical stakeholders in an engagement. Expectations and tasks include: Explaining complex technical aspects to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences. Supporting coordination of delivery activities with technology partners. Planning and executing solution deployments. Leveraging the capabilities of the SAP's latest technology platform(s) and reinforcing their benefits. Supporting the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Implementing and supporting the operation of technical system landscapes. Supporting setup and connectivity of integrated system landscapes (on-premise, cloud and hybrid) by applying state-of-the-art methodologies. Delivering technology components-specific expert consulting. Delivering system optimization services. Supporting solution proposals and bid management. Supporting escalated projects. Occasionally taking over responsibility as a (sub-)project lead or team lead for a service delivery. Supporting line manager(s) in people development tasks. Delivering customer workshops and trainings. Creating project documentation and documentation of delivered services. Supporting the evolution of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas; can be owner of a service and/or supports updates to the portfolio. Supporting in solution testing and issue resolution. Can mentor technology consultants. Develop understanding of customer-specific processes, configuration, landscape, pain points; provide guidance to internal support team. Responsible for assessing functional/technical issues and developing system solutions for the deployment and the ongoing post-deployment support of Ariba cloud (OnD) based products and solutions. Collaborate with SAP Ariba professionals to deploy a holistic analysis approach to complex and cross-component system platform issues. Master and use available means for customizing Ariba application and develop a solution meeting customer functional/technical requirement. Education and occupational experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Qualifications/skills and competencies experience: Experience must involve four (4) years in the following: Implementing full life-cycle of SAP Ariba solutions using SAP ACTIVATE methodology. Product demos, requirements, design workshops, core template design, build & integration, testing and training, deployment, data migration, and hypercare. Working in a global delivery model formulating global templates and performing multiple rollouts. Handling project management, team management, and customer/stakeholders management. Leading pre-sales activities such as responding to RFPs, solution demos, and client orals. Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as business, IT, ERP, middleware, vendors, etc. This position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program subject to the eligibility criteria outlined in the SAP Internal Employee Referral Policy. Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $194,792 - $196,945. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $194,792 - $231,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Nearest Major Market: San Jose.
