Mechanical Assembler
Our client in San Fernando, CA is looking for Mechanical Assemblers to assemble component parts per written and verbal work instructions! Responsibilities
· Follows production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and maintain efficiency levels.
· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
· Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
· Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
· Verifies specifications by measuring completed component to assure quality product.
· Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
· Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; notifies supervisor if repairs are needed.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with housekeeping procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notifies supervisor of potential shortages.
· Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
· Follows and implements 5S techniques, and safety guidelines and use required PPE designated by specific areas.
· Packing and crating help and support.
· Assembly validations and inspections and boxing assemblies and finish goods.

Requirements:
· 1-3 years' experience with Assembly experience
· High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
· Basic Math Skills and ability to read and interpret component maintenance manuals to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
· Ability to use common hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, depth gauges, flow meters, and pressure gauges.
· Knowledge of manufacturing software
· Strong communicational skills
· Ability to lift up and move up to 40 lbs.
· Must be able to work overtime
Shifts Available:
Shifts are available from Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with some overtime including Saturdays
