Mechanical Assembler Technician

Our client in San Fernando, CA is looking for Mechanical Assembler Technician to disassembly and part cleaning of train braking components, HVAC units, door operators and couplers. Responsibilities

• Move material to and from workstation by hand, cart, pallet jack, hoist and crane as required.

• Disassemble (tear-down), clean, according to work instructions, engineering drawings and/or test codes.

• Responsible for processing paperwork pertaining to the disassembly and cleaning.

• Use of fixtures, press, vice, grinders, wire wheel, pneumatic/hand tools, etc.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, practices, procedures, and established company policies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

• Over 2 years' experience with Manufacturing Assembly experience, preferrable mechanic experience.

• Ability to understand work procedures, determine tooling and operation sequence, etc. in order to establish the most efficient manner of utilizing materials and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Able to communicate effectively with coworkers.

• Ability to follow instructions, possess basic comprehension and reading skills.

• Ability to lift up and move up to 50 lbs.

• Requires repeated movements and tasks daily.

• Must be comfortable to frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and crouch.

• Must be able to use vibrating/impact pneumatic hand tools.

• Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when required.

Shifts Available:

Shifts are available from Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Pay Details:

$21.50 per hour
