Summary
This position manages activities necessary to coordinate business continuity and emergency preparedness expertise to enable Oncor to continue critical business processes through a variety of potentially disruptive events. Coordinates development of business continuity plans and ensures the readiness of these plans and related capabilities for all Oncor divisions and corporate functions. Continues development of the overall Incident Command System (ICS) and manages special projects related to contingency planning and emergency preparedness information. Facilitates business continuity planning and readiness reviews with Oncor divisions and corporate functions and prepares incident management and business continuity status reports.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Provide expertise and advice regarding business continuity, standards, policy, tools, and implementation. Assess Oncor’s position and recommend alternatives to further our capability to respond to a variety of events. Provide assistance to divisions on business continuity requests in the design and implementation of their programs.
Develop training programs and tools related to the overall Business Continuity program and specific division implementation.
Develop and coordinate simulations to test and reinforce our ability to respond effectively to a variety of events both within and across plans and divisions.
Provide support to Oncor divisions in developing and implementing business continuity, emergency restoration and other contingency plans.
Coordinate Alternate Work Location infrastructure reviews, develop and implement web based and other tools, and maintain readiness of shared capabilities.
Develop incident management scripts, maintain responder assignments, and provide training.
Support other program initiatives including audits, schedules, resource acquisition, technology integration, communications, and other activities as assigned.
Maintain and support the System Emergency Center.
Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.

Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal/external management, employees and other stakeholders.
Effectively network both internally and externally in order to facilitate understanding of business continuity risks and transfer of best practice.
Demonstrates economic, environmental and political awareness and knowledge across the various business and geographies in which Oncor operates.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with business units and service providers.
Strong working knowledge of PC and web-based tools and ability to develop computer-based training programs and simulations.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or discipline closely related to construction or program/project management is encouraged to apply.
3 or more years of experience in planning, design, operation, or construction of distribution facilities or electric utility experience with at least 1 year of experience in a program/project management role is required.

Development of working relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely delivery of programs.
