Senior Cybersecurity Analyst - Countermeasures Cell

Overview GovCIO is looking for a driven and customer-focused Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be situated in Doral, FL, working to protect our systems and data from cyber threats. Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership in analyzing and responding to security incidents within the Countermeasures Cell. Proactively identify and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities by developing and implementing comprehensive mitigation strategies. Lead the creation and enforcement of advanced security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with rigorous standards. Conduct detailed security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing aimed at enhancing system resilience to threats. Oversee the installation and maintenance of advanced security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection. Collaborate with Countermeasures Teams to integrate security controls into incident response procedures. Monitor and analyze logs and network traffic for security incidents, guiding incident response and escalation efforts. Coordinate complex incident response efforts, collaborating with various teams to minimize impact and ensure quick recovery. Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including incident reports and risk assessments specific to the Countermeasures Cell. Provide mentorship and guidance to Junior Analysts to foster their professional growth. Stay informed on emerging threats and countermeasures, developing proactive strategies to mitigate risks. Enhance operational efficiency by leading the development of security automation tools and scripts. Qualifications: High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in cybersecurity. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, plus a minimum of 9 years of experience. Strong knowledge of firewall administration, incident detection, and risk assessment tools. Experience designing secure networks and systems. Understanding of disaster recovery and computer forensic methodologies. DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, CompTIA Security+, and 8570 CSSP certification are required. Clearance Required: TS/SCI. Preferred Skills: Master's degree in a relevant field. Experience with DoD programs and cloud-based technologies. Professional certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, etc. Familiarity with DoD Combatant Command operations.
