Your contributions will play a crucial role in modeling, auditing, and optimizing our transportation systems from fulfillment centers to last-mile delivery carriers. This position can be based in one of the following locations: Bellevue, WA; Austin, TX; Nashville, TN; Santa Monica, CA; Arlington, VA; New York City, NY; or Toronto, CA. Key Responsibilities: Develop scalable data science solutions to audit and optimize our transportation network. Create and execute analytical tools to model our transportation system. Contribute to network design strategies, prioritize initiatives, and manage stakeholder expectations. Basic Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab). A minimum of 2 years of experience as a data/research scientist, statistician, or quantitative analyst in an internet-based company with complex datasets. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with statistical packages and business intelligence tools such as SPSS, SAS, S-PLUS, or R. Experience with clustered data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Map-reduce, Hive). Amazon is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. The compensation for this position ranges from $97,500 to $206,800, depending on geographic location, skills, and experience.
