We are looking for an innovative and driven Data Scientist to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and deploying advanced analytics and Generative AI solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to transform our global support model by developing predictive insights, automating performance intelligence, and enabling scalable decision-making across our expanding fleet of AR-supported sites. In this role, you will: Develop and deploy machine learning models to forecast AR network risks using telemetry, support tickets, and operational data. Design and prototype Generative AI applications such as summarizers and root cause generators using LLMs via SageMaker, Bedrock, or open-source stacks. Collaborate with Data Engineers to create scalable feature pipelines and integrate modeling outputs into production workflows and customer-facing dashboards. Conduct comprehensive analyses to identify trends and anomalies in AR solution performance and deliver actionable recommendations to Support teams. Create human-readable narratives from structured outputs using natural language generation and summarization techniques for field teams and leadership reviews. Lead experimentation efforts and assess measurable impacts through A/B tests or quasi-experiments on new support initiatives. Work cross-functionally with product, TPMs, BIEs, and engineering teams to co-develop roadmap features and integrate predictive insights into our core platforms. Contribute to the Generative AI strategy by exploring new use cases and evaluating LLM models to build reusable components for broader team adoption. About the Team: The P&I team at Amazon Robotics is focused on developing and scaling analytics products and services across all functions of the AR Global Safety & Support (GSS) organization. By leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and deep domain expertise, we drive efficiencies, mitigate risks, and ensure strong data integrity across all AR support functions. Our outcomes empower service and support teams across a global network of AR sites with predictive insights, proactive network monitoring, and comprehensive risk assessments, enabling an Always Ready support model. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science. 2+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab). 2+ years of experience as a data/research scientist, statistician, or quantitative analyst in a company dealing with complex and large datasets. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with statistical packages and business intelligence tools such as SPSS, SAS, or R. Experience with clustered data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Hive). Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as those mentioned above. Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies and expertise in Python, SQL, and SageMaker (or equivalent ML infrastructure). Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex findings into actionable business insights. Experience in large-scale operational or hardware network environments (e.g., robotics, fulfillment, manufacturing) is a plus. Join us at Amazon, where we are committed to an inclusive culture that empowers all Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
