Senior Solutions Architect, AWS Federal Civilian

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a passionate and driven Solutions Architect to enhance our U.S. Federal Civilian Government initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to influence and implement strategies that propel our customers’ missions by leveraging AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, and HPC. As a member of our cross-functional team, you will have the chance to create innovative proof of concepts (PoCs) that effectively address customer challenges and provide outstanding technical design and guidance within the Federal Civilian Government sector. You'll also collaborate closely with our sales and business development teams, sharing and capturing best-practice knowledge throughout the AWS solutions architect community. In this role, you will gain valuable knowledge and collaborate with some of the brightest technical minds in the industry, encompassing a wide range of enterprise architecture. To be eligible for this position, candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical engagement and strategy development with our customers. Create innovative PoCs to address specific customer challenges. Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs, cultivating expertise in AWS technologies and customer mission needs. Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in relevant technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics). 3+ years of experience in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting. 10+ years of experience in IT development or consulting within the software or internet industries. Associate's degree or higher, or relevant security certifications (e.g., CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP). Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking. Familiarity with SAP systems (e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse) and their architectural needs. Experience collaborating with end-user or developer communities.
