Join Meta as a Senior Data Engineer in the Product Analytics team, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of products that connect people and businesses across our family of applications, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Reality Labs, and Threads. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and building large-scale data solutions that improve user experiences for over 3 billion users and optimize strategies for hundreds of millions of businesses worldwide. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to create scalable data architectures that address critical business challenges. You will tackle some of the most complex data issues in the industry, contributing to a vibrant data engineering community dedicated to innovation and professional growth. Key Responsibilities: Design and own the data architecture for significant projects, assessing design and operational cost-benefit tradeoffs. Develop frameworks to enhance data logging efficiency, while proactively resolving issues in collaboration with data infrastructure teams. Work with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and visually represent key insights meaningfully. Establish and manage Service Level Agreements for your data sets. Implement security models that adhere to privacy regulations, ensuring data quality and evolving governance processes. Create, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations that support diverse products and use cases. Address complex data integration challenges using optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, and query techniques on both structured and unstructured data. Enhance the performance of existing production processes and optimize advanced algorithms. Refine pipelines, dashboards, and systems to simplify the development of data artifacts. Collaborate with product teams to identify data-driven opportunities that generate impactful outcomes. Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback to foster skill development. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. 7+ years of experience in data-centric roles such as data analyst, data scientist, or data engineer. Proficiency in SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala). Preferred Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. degree in a STEM field. Compensation for this role ranges from $173,000 to $242,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
