The Business Intelligence Engineer in Security Assurance will play a crucial role in enhancing and scaling AWS's ability to meet and exceed the rigorous security and compliance expectations from regulators, auditors, and customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable business intelligence solutions including engaging dashboards and automated reports that guide critical business decisions and strategic planning.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate these needs into actionable, data-driven solutions.
Identify opportunities for business improvement through thoughtful data analysis and present compelling, evidence-based recommendations to leadership.
Partner with Software Engineering teams to analyze complex datasets, creating clear visualizations and actionable insights that enhance decision-making processes.
Modernize existing BI solutions to ensure they remain scalable as business needs evolve over time.
Promote business intelligence best practices within the team and mentor colleagues on analytics methodologies and tools.

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in data analysis and interpretation with a focus on Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar.
Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and constructing ETL pipelines.
Strong SQL skills with scripting experience (Python) for data processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Advanced SQL skills including expertise in query performance tuning.
Familiarity with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, and IAM.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis and processing.
Proven track record in developing automated, scalable business intelligence solutions.
Experience in crafting and presenting recommendations of new metrics to better understand business trends and opportunities.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, ranging from $89,600/year to $185,000/year based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
