Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician and be part of a team that supports the operations of some of the world's most powerful data centers. Our Engineering Operations team is dedicated to maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems to ensure they are ready for any situation.
As a key member of our team, you will:
Conduct daily building rounds to monitor and document performance from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, ensuring 24/7 reliability and availability.
Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS) for monitoring purposes.
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Perform rack installations and decommissioning within SLAs.
Engage in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Provide technical writing support for the change management program.
Monitor daily work requests, manage them to resolution, and execute projects from start to finish.
Collaborate with contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work adheres to established practices and complies with local legislation.
This position may require working shifts of up to 12 hours which may rotate on a predefined schedule, and some roles will have on-call rotations.

Candidates should be prepared to: Regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds independently. Participate in group lifts for items over 40 pounds. Work in environments requiring ear protection. Perform activities including climbing, bending, stooping, and using ladders. A Day in the Life:

You will report to a site's Data Center Facility Manager and will help maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment, including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, HVAC systems, and more.
