The Global Network Deployment (GND) organization is expanding and looking for a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to be part of the Intel & Reporting team (I&R). In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage data analytics projects from inception to completion, using advanced business intelligence tools to build dashboards, planning models, and conduct comprehensive analyses that support various GND functions.
As an integral member of our team, you will collaborate with experts in demand planning, finance, and network design across AWS, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data visualizations and analytical insights. Your efforts will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic development and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain baseline metrics and analytics.
Work closely with business customers and leadership to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across annual, quarterly, and monthly goals.
Gather requirements from business customers to deliver comprehensive reporting solutions.
Publish and maintain engaging Tableau dashboards, detailed reports, and executive summary documents.
Identify trends in data that influence business outcomes.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BI tools and provide training to team members.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure accurate reporting of data and metrics.
Devise innovative methods to evaluate program effectiveness and organizational productivity.
About the Team:
The Intel & Reporting (I&R) team is dedicated to creating and communicating operational and financial metrics that drive efficiency across GND. By identifying opportunities for improvement and providing customers with insightful dashboards and reports, we influence strategic decisions and drive organizational success.
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of data analysis and interpretation experience with databases such as Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL.
5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, visualization, financial, or statistical modeling.
Strong SQL skills with 5+ years of experience handling large datasets.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Pivot Tables, Power Pivots) and experience with tools like Quicksight or Tableau.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
Proficiency in using SQL for data extraction and scripting experience (Python) for data processing.
