Join Our Dynamic Team as a Business Intelligence Engineer! Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) Infrastructure Services is at the forefront of cloud technology, entrusted with designing, planning, and operating AWS's global infrastructure. We are seeking a dedicated Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Intel & Reporting team, a crucial part of the Global Network Deployment (GND) organization. In this role, you will take ownership of data analytics projects from inception to completion, utilizing top business intelligence tools to create compelling dashboards, forecasting models, and insightful analyses for GND's various sectors. You'll collaborate closely with teams in demand planning, finance, networking, and business intelligence across AWS to provide high-quality data visualizations that directly impact our strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Establish baseline metrics and analytics while collaborating with stakeholders to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to organizational goals. Engage with business customers to gather requirements and develop comprehensive reporting solutions. Create and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and documents for executive reviews. Identify meaningful patterns in data and correlate them with business outcomes. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business intelligence tools and provide training to team members. Conduct regular audits of systems to ensure the accuracy and completeness of reporting. Innovate new methods for evaluating program effectiveness and enhancing organizational productivity. About the Team: The Intel & Reporting (I&R) team is essential for generating and communicating operational and financial metrics that foster efficiency within GND verticals. We aim to uncover opportunities for improvement through comprehensive analysis and provide our stakeholders with the necessary tools and insights to drive business direction. Basic Qualifications: 4+ years of experience analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. 5+ years in data analysis, data visualization, financial modeling, or statistical modeling. 5+ years of SQL experience, including handling large data sets. 5+ years of advanced Excel proficiency (including VBA, Pivot Tables) and data visualization tools such as Quicksight or Tableau. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or 8+ years of relevant industry experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Intelligence, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a similar quantitative field. Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Proficient in using SQL for data extraction and scripting (Python) for data processing.
