This role encompasses a variety of full-time positions across our organization, using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Our toolkit includes surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews. We value a diverse team with a wide range of perspectives, and we are seeking communicators who are passionate about research and the influence of technology on society.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate extensively with product and business teams to identify critical research topics.
Serve as an advocate for users by acting as a thought leader in the field of user experience research.
Design and carry out comprehensive primary research that combines various methods.
Create studies that address both user behavior and attitudes.
Efficiently manage and prioritize research plans in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, aligning insights with stakeholder needs.
Communicate findings effectively, delivering actionable insights in engaging ways.
Work cross-functionally with teams in design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing.
Generate insights that drive ideation and evaluate design approaches.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research, or product development; or a Master's degree with 5+ years; or PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Proven experience conducting in-depth interviews, focus groups, and usability testing.
Proficiency in coding with tools like R, SQL, STATA, SPSS, or alternatives.
Experience applying statistical methods including regressions, ANOVA, and t-tests.
Strong interest and hands-on experience in primary research execution.
Aptitude for translating research findings into compelling narratives.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and a commitment to high-quality research.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to seek feedback effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with consumer products and insights.
Degrees in fields relating to human behavior, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics.
