Senior Data Scientist

to enhance our understanding of customer engagement and unlock new opportunities to enrich their experiences. As part of the Global App Experience - Product Analytics team, you will have an essential role in: Collaborating with Product and Business Intelligence Engineers to create, evaluate, and implement new metrics that measure the influence of our product launches on customer streaming behaviors and business performance. Working with large and intricate datasets to build models that offer valuable insights into customer interactions with Prime Video. Identifying creative and efficient methods to optimize the operational aspects of models and metrics. Partnering with product leaders to conduct in-depth analysis that will directly impact feature launch decisions. We value excellent communication skills, especially in simplifying complex ideas for non-technical audiences. While independent work is encouraged, seeking alignment from peers and stakeholders is key in designing effective solutions. About the team: The Global App Experience - Product Analytics (GAE-PA) team spearheads engagement analytics for all Prime Video app interfaces, including mobile, living room, web, automotive, and VR platforms. We are responsible for over 70 key metrics utilized by more than 300 Product Managers to guide crucial decisions aligned with multiple strategic company goals. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab). 4+ years of data scientist experience. Bachelor's degree. Experience with statistical models such as multinomial logistic regression. Master's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science) is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in data visualization tools like AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or R Shiny. Experience in managing data pipelines. This position has a salary range of $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market, reflecting variations based on location.
