At Amazon, we are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist for our Prime Video team. Prime Video is an entertainment hub offering a diverse collection of premium programming, including movies, series, documentaries, and live sports. As a valuable member of our technology team, you will have the opportunity to shape the user experience and help us deliver innovative streaming solutions. In this role, you will: Collaborate closely with Product and Business Intelligence Engineers to create and implement new metrics that assess the impact of product launches on customer streaming behavior. Analyze large and complex datasets to build models that provide actionable insights into customer engagement with Prime Video. Identify inventive strategies to boost the efficiency of models and metrics. Engage with product leaders to conduct deep-dive analyses that guide feature launch decisions. The ideal candidate will have: Exceptional communication skills, particularly with non-technical audiences. A proactive mindset adaptable to a fast-paced work environment. A track record of delivering impactful data-driven projects and simplifying complex approaches. The ability to work independently while valuing team input and feedback on solution designs. About the Team: The Global App Experience - Product Analytics (GAE-PA) team at Prime Video is dedicated to driving engagement analytics across all app experiences. We manage over 70 core metrics used by more than 300 Product Managers to make informed decisions that align with our strategic goals. Our focus includes developing scalable data foundations, causal attribution, and insights powered by Generative AI to enhance decision-making and customer impact. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS). 4+ years of data science experience. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Expertise in statistical models, such as multinomial logistic regression. Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science is preferred. Preferred Skills: 2+ years of experience in data visualization tools like AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or R Shiny. Experience managing data pipelines. Leadership and mentorship experience within a data science team. Our workplace is inclusive and embraces diversity.
