Duties and Responsibilities
The AF SAP Security Support Services assist the AF security authority in oversight of security operations supporting AF SAP interests. The Site Security Manager (SSM) manages security aspects of project planning, design, and construction, ensuring regulatory compliance for facility accreditation. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing security plans and documentation. Conducting security inspections and ensuring compliance. Documenting violations and coordinating with the AO. Managing security of construction sites, materials, and access. Mitigating security and counterintelligence threats. Ensuring adherence to NISPOM, DCID, ICD, UFCs, and SAP policies. Providing security staff oversight and continuous assessment. Notifying pertinent security matters promptly. Ensuring project compliance with relevant security standards. Participating in planning meetings and providing security input. Documenting security measures throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluating SCIF and SAP Facility spaces for security threats. Briefing personnel on security topics. Proficient in technical writing and correspondence. Developing accreditation documentation and reports. Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of related experience or 5 years of experience without a degree. Experience with physical security, personnel management, or construction management. Relevant certifications such as SFPC, SAPPC, SPSC, SPIPC, PSC, ISOC, ATC, or industry-recognized Site Security Manager certification. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to pass safety and security training courses within specified timeframes. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and walk long distances.
