Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a talented Software Developer to contribute to the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Missile Defense mission areas. Your Next Challenge Awaits! This exciting Software Developer position involves performing trade studies, engaging in system engineering, applying model-based system engineering, conducting portfolio analysis, and developing software solutions. You will be instrumental in product testing, deployment to Cheyenne Mountain, and ensuring excellence in data integration, analytics, and decision support tools. This role reports directly to the Program Manager. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement containerized environments for

Java ,

C++ , and

FORTRAN

applications.

Develop mission-critical software that supports missile defense systems.

Effectively communicate and document technical solutions for integrated engineering teams.

Stay current with

cutting-edge programming techniques

and technologies.

Conduct software design and code reviews to uphold product quality.

Collaborate closely with System Engineering teams to align, schedule, and demonstrate capabilities to customers.

Manage regression coding and handle deployment timelines in coordination with third-party contractors and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or a related discipline along with

4+ years of relevant experience . (Additional experience, training, or certifications may substitute degree requirements.)

Must be a US Citizen and currently hold an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Proficient in

C++ and Java

programming languages.

Experience in developing

micro-services

and managing containerized environments.

Strong ability to function independently and collaborate within engineering teams.

Familiarity with

Agile software development processes .

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Excellent communication skills with experience in managing multiple projects.

Experience with

FORTRAN .

Background in missile warning and missile defense systems.

Understanding of missile warning message types.
