About the Role Clearstory is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with strong Golang experience to help guide best practices and elevate engineering standards across the team. This role includes hands-on development, as well as coaching peers on how to write clean, maintainable, and scalable Golang code. You’ll contribute to product development across the stack and play a key role in improving backend design, performance, and reliability.
You will:
Build fullstack product features with React (TypeScript and Node.js) and Golang
Introduce and reinforce backend best practices across the engineering team
Review and mentor on code structure, testing, and design patterns
Collaborate with product and design to develop scalable, user-focused features
Write maintainable, well-tested code and uphold quality standards

Requirements
Required Experience
7+ years of professional software development experience
5+ years writing production code in Golang
Solid experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend
Strong understanding of REST APIs, performance tuning, and backend architecture
Skilled in writing unit and integration tests
Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers
Qualifications
Experience with pub/sub or event-driven architectures
Familiarity with ETL pipelines or backend data workflows
Exposure to SOC 2, GDPR, or CCPA compliance environments
Prior experience in SaaS, FinTech, or ConTech industries
