We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, skilled at combining data to address essential business questions. You should have significant experience in creating and managing datasets, translating complex data into meaningful insights, and demonstrating proficiency in efficient and scalable data mining techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze data to perform sophisticated analytics.
Utilize data mining, segmentation, and various analytical techniques to identify trends and develop relevant measurement dashboards.
Standardize, simplify, and automate internal processes and data products.
Oversee weekly and monthly business reporting, creating insightful measurement dashboards.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business drivers, goals, and actionable outcomes through analytics.
Manage databases and partner with technology teams to build systems supporting business intelligence needs.
A Day in the Life:
The ideal candidate will be adept in advanced SQL query design and data mining, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and have a genuine enthusiasm for leveraging data to inform business decisions. You will tackle intricate business questions with curiosity, going deep to uncover root causes. Your role will involve building robust relationships with teams such as Amazon Pricing, Supply Chain, and Vendor Management to define key business questions, analyze data, and drive strategic decisions.
About the Team:
Our team manages pricing strategies, performs in-depth reporting, and optimizes a vast assortment of products ranging from Electronics to Home Goods, Toys, Pets, and Office Supplies.
Qualifications:
3+ years of data analysis experience with tools such as Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
Proficient in data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
Familiarity with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
Strong SQL skills for database querying and scripting experience in Python for data processing.
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience with AWS solutions including EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
Experience in data mining and managing complex datasets in a business environment.

Compensation reflects the geographic labor market and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay for this position ranges from $89,600 to $185,000, depending on local market conditions. Total compensation may also include equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.
