About The Role As a senior IT Project Manager within NYSTEC's Project Management Office, your responsibilities include leading IT projects, supporting governance, and mentoring project managers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet business objectives, comply with standards, and follow industry best practices. Success in this role requires developed project management expertise, leadership skills, and experience in structured PMO environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage IT infrastructure, software implementation, and modernization projects from initiation to completion. Define and oversee project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resources. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies. Work closely with stakeholders to align project goals and deliverables. Monitor performance and adjust plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery. Proactively track and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies. Support and enforce PMO governance frameworks, methodologies, and standards. Ensure project compliance with CMMI, SOX, and other regulations. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports. Contribute to PMO process improvements and compliance initiatives. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members. Assist in developing training and best practice resources. Share knowledge on Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies. Develop and execute communication plans for stakeholders. Facilitate meetings, updates, and presentations. Document and communicate key project decisions and risks. About You Required Qualifications Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Understanding of NYSTEC's mission and values. Proficiency with project management tools like JIRA and MS Project. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise software. Knowledge of governance frameworks like CMMI, SOX, ITIL, COBIT. Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as Freshservice. Relevant certifications (PMP, PMI, ITIL) required. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including managing complex projects in structured PMO environments. Equivalent advanced education and experience will be considered. The salary range is $79,000 - $109,000 annually, based on various factors including experience and location.
