Amazon Web Services (AWS) is on the lookout for a dedicated Solutions Architect to join our dynamic Public Sector team! In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to drive the adoption of AWS's cutting-edge utility computing solutions (like Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, and Amazon CloudFront) by collaborating directly with customers and AWS Partners. As a Solutions Architect, your responsibilities will encompass: Leading the technical engagement surrounding specific implementation projects. Providing customers with best practices and developing extensive knowledge of AWS technologies. Acting as a subject matter expert on application and service security. Delivering exceptional technical design and thought leadership. Capturing and sharing best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community. This position requires you to have: A passion for guiding customers in designing and constructing cloud computing architectures. Strong skills in technical presentation, both in small and large group settings. Experience in designing, developing, deploying, or migrating to Cloud environments, with a particular emphasis on GenAI solutions. Operational knowledge of website and service management, security, and related fields. The ability to travel roughly 30% of the time. Basic qualifications include: 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures. 4+ years of experience in specific technology domains (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 10+ years of experience in IT development or consulting within the software or Internet industries. Preferred qualifications include experience with: Migration or transformation of legacy customer solutions to the cloud. AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
