Job Summary

This role is predominately based in Everett, Washington and covers HR business partnership across our Everett and Union City, California sites. This position is responsible for providing full spectrum of HR practices for which the HRBP is embedded to include: talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, and legal/regulatory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary HR point of contact for Union City operation, as well as floor leadership and hourly employees in Everett operation.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management and organizational changes.
  • Physically visit the Union City location monthly.
  • Coach managers on leadership and employee development and conflict resolution.
  • Lead or support investigations and ensure appropriate documentation and guide appropriate actions.
  • Play a key role in the execution of hourly and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Promote employee engagement and enhance the employee experience through targeted initiatives.
  • Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams and individual employees that further the mission, values and strategic vision of the business.
  • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, WA PFML, CFRA, and CA SDI.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR Management, Organizational Development or related field and minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience including at least 3 years as an HRBP or similar advisory role (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual; able to read, write and speak English and Spanish.
  • Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a culture of trust, cooperation and continuous improvement.
  • Proven trusted point of contact, ensuring discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • A high degree of detail, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Coaching, training, and leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in both Washington and California labor and employment laws.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and intermediate proficiency with HRIS/report writing, data analytics
  • Experience with Paycom HRIS a plus.
  • Must be willing and able to flex schedule to accommodate needs of plant operations.

Responsibility

  • Works with little supervision, complex assignment are reviewed. Exercises discretion within areas of responsibility.
  • Recommends actions and alternatives to supervisor and key clients.

Work Environment and Hazards

  • Employee typically works in a normal office environment free from noise and hazards but will spend time on the production floor.
  • Up to 20% travel is required for this position.

Pay Range for Senior HR Business Partner - Bilingual

The Senior HR Business Partner - Bilingual base pay range$100,000 - 115,000 USD/hourly.The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum fornew hire salaries for the Everett, WA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’srate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time.In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team membersas a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.The Senior HR Business Partner - Bilingual position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionarybonus program up to 10%. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state,and local minimum wage laws.
