Leveraging cutting-edge analytics, robust digital innovation, and deep domain expertise, we empower federal partners—including the U.S. Department of State—to enhance program performance, knowledge management, and decision-making in dynamic global settings. As a team, we value technical excellence, partnership, and a relentless drive to advance mission impact.
Position Summary:
Q2 Impact is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical (Solutions) Architect to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced Salesforce-based platforms in support of the Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism (CT). The Architect will be responsible for designing scalable, compliant, and secure Salesforce solutions, shaping technical architecture across CT Bureau’s Salesforce platform, and its integration with complementary tools such as Tableau, Azure, and emerging AI/ML analytics. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic planning, ensuring our solutions meet regulatory standards and directly support U.S. federal objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions, leading system integration, data modeling, process automation, and security compliance for government and security sector projects.

- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle—configuring, customizing, and optimizing Salesforce applications, Lightning components, flows, and APIs for advanced analytics and M&E.
- Oversee and guide integration with third-party platforms (Tableau, Azure, Conga, Power BI), managing ETL processes, data migration, and automation of data pipelines.
- Establish and maintain architectural documentation, technical standards, and system governance protocols to support auditability, cybersecurity, and change management.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Developers, Configurers, Data Scientists, and program leadership to ensure designs are delivered on-time, securely, and with high user satisfaction.
- Drive implementation of security best practices—access controls, audit logging, encryption, SBU/PII protections—ensuring compliance with Department of State, FedRAMP, and NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
- Support solution demonstrations, user acceptance testing, training initiatives, and ongoing platform enhancement through Agile project methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience architecting and delivering solutions on Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Platform, Experience Cloud).
- Deep expertise in data modeling, process automation, security and compliance, and multi-system integration in Salesforce-centric environments.
- Hands-on skills in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, REST/SOAP APIs, integration middleware, and declarative automation.
- Advanced Salesforce certifications required—System Architect, Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading federal, defense, or large public sector Salesforce implementations with a focus on security, data integrity, and scalability.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and cloud security/compliance protocols.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance required; active SECRET clearance preferred (U.S. citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PRISM, Tableau, Azure cloud architecture, data science tool integration, and advanced analytics is highly desirable.
- Leadership in cross-functional, Agile project teams and experience mentoring technical staff.
