The candidate will prepare Miscellaneous Payment Vouchers for reimbursement of personal expenses of DDC employees, including on-the-job site travel, professional licenses, and certifications. The candidate is expected to review payment requests against the Comptroller’s Directive, prepare agency checks for DDC’s Annual Employee Recognition, reconcile monthly bank statements from the Imprest and Demand Accounts, prepare documents for year-end Comptroller audits, and work closely with the Comptroller’s Office to reconcile payment discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in accounting, with courses in advanced accounting and auditing; or
  • A valid New York State Certified Public Accountant license.

To qualify for Assignment Level II, individuals must have at least one year of experience as an Accountant - Assignment Level I or two years of satisfactory full-time professional accounting or auditing experience.

Preferred Skills

Good accounting skills, familiarity with FMS2/3, and proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
