This position is for 1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm).The Opportunity:Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Plating Operator to join our team. The Operator will work within a team environment and be responsible for the operation of miscellaneous processes supporting the Anodizing Plating Line.Duties may include but are not limited to the following:Operation of various computerized automatic plating systemsLoading and unloading of hardware onto and off of plating racksTaping, wax masking, and demasking of hardwareOperation of heat treat systemsMaintenance of chemical processing lines including:Making chemical additions and maintaining chemical tanksPerforming routine maintenance of machines and equipment operatedAssisting with waste water treatmentMaintaining cleanliness in and around the equipmentPerform chemical drainage, tank cleaning, refilling, and chemistry adjustments as instructed.Inspection and/or test related activities to ensure that parts are plated in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specificationsQualifications:High School or GED requiredPrior experience with special coatings, plating, and/or anodizing is preferredTraining availableWorking knowledge of industrial manufacturing safety requirements or hazardous materials is a plusAbility to follow all safety and planning instructionsAbility to read, understand, and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings, process planning, and work instructionsPhysical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
