Head of Production

Our client, a luxury loungewear brand is seeking a Head of Product for their NYC office! The Role and Your Impact The role oversees Production and Product Development functions for the brand. You'll be responsible for optimizing the supply chain and establishing processes, org structure and team that will support the brand through the next phase of growth and profitability. What You Will do Review the current PD, Tech Design and Production org to ensure the team structure supports the company’s growth plan and roadmap. Evaluate current factory base and facilitate introductions to new partners to position the company for the future growth into new products and categories. Responsible for product costing and gross margin; identify and pursue opportunities for gross margin improvement. Own the department budgets for PD and Production. Product Development Oversee the seasonal development calendar, ensuring alignment with design, merchandising, and sales timelines. Review all templates, collaboration tools, tech packs, and all other documents used internally and passed to the factories to ensure efficient workflow Review the T&A for each season for design, tech design and product development Establish and improve the current compliance protocols Source and onboard new suppliers and production partners Review and improve the sampling process for photo samples, press samples, wholesale samples, etc. Production Establish relationships with the existing factories Monitor product margin and evaluate sourcing options to ensure achievement of target gross margin Review the T&A for each season from concept to in-warehouse Review testing protocols and oversee the quality inspection process of all current suppliers of finished products Review all seasonal documents related to product projections, the buy plan, shipment Qualifications At least 15 years+ of production and product development experience Proven success as the Head of Product, VP of Product or a similar role, preferably within a high-growth e- company in fashion, apparel, or softgoods. New York based Willing to travel Large network of production and sourcing partners Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams. Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
