ServiceNow Developer II
Work Location: Richfield, MN
Tell us about your department: I am responsible for the Software Engineering and support for one the ServiceNow Product engineering teams in People Technologies. We have 2 ServiceNow Platform Product teams with multiple squads within them. This position will be on the team that supports the platform from an ITSM, Catalog, Discovery, and integrations standpoint.
Project Description: This position isn't related to a specific project but for staff augmentation for an engineer who transitioned to another team internally. This candidate may work on backlog items or larger initiatives that may be similar to a project.
Position Summary/Job Description: • Work as a member of an Agile team by o Collaborating with the product team to help find solutions for their business objectives. o Provide estimates for requested enhancements/stories. o Participate in daily huddles to provide updates and blockers.
• Develop on the ServiceNow platform o Low code / No code solutions o Via scripting and coding o System Configurations.
• Provide support for defects or incidents related to release enhancements. • Use considerable judgment to determine solutions and seeks guidance on complex problems. • Requires minimal direction / oversight.
Skills Overview: • ServiceNow Certified Administrator certification or equivalent experience • 1 Year experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform • Ability to read documentation in order to configure solutions • Not afraid to ask questions, seek knowledge and offer alternative solutions • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
• Breadth of experience on the ServiceNow platform o Flow Designer / Legacy Workflows o Integration Hub configurations o Strong understanding of business rules, when to use them, and the trigger conditions. o Strong understanding of script includes and when to use them and how to leverage them for repetitive functions. o Advanced knowledge of catalog design and client scripting. o Strong understanding of the differences of client-side and server-side o Using AJAX calls to make requests to the server
• ServiceNow Platform module knowledge o Experience implementing any module within ServiceNow o Knowledge of ServiceNow module uses
