SUMMARY:
The Enterprise Solutions Architect (Payments Platform) will leverage and use technology solutions to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities that, in turn, drive the organization's targeted outcomes. The architect will facilitate and orchestrate the delivery of solutions related to payment systems. This individual creates deliverables that help develop a direction for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions — including systems (not just applications, but also processes and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to better match targeted business outcome objectives. Solutions architecture will entail both application and infrastructure architecture, both of which will fall under the purview of the Enterprise Solutions Architect. Design and lead the implementation of solutions architecture across specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise strategy, capabilities, and requirements. Manage and develop architecture for a broader scope of projects, working closely with application architects. Provide consulting support to ensure projects align with the overall enterprise architecture. Monitor current solution portfolio to identify deficiencies such as aging technologies or misalignment with business needs. Understand payment technology trends and their practical application to enable new business and operating models. Analyze the business-IT environment to detect deficiencies and recommend improvements. Analyze industry, competitors, and market trends to assess potential impacts. Define principles, standards, and solution patterns to align with the enterprise's future architecture vision. Assist in developing a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio. Facilitate evaluation and selection of software standards and services, and design configurations. Consult on system and infrastructure fitting, and modify projects as needed to align with architecture. Identify organizational and financial impacts of solutions architecture. Document all architecture design and analysis work. Work closely with the project management office to ensure plan execution.
