We seek a versatile, proactive, and experienced general operations consultant. As an Implementation Consultant, you will support the Cities LAB by leading design, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of pilot projects and knowledge products, focusing on urban planning, housing finance, and slum upgrading. You will be part of the IDB Cities Lab, under CSD/HUD, reporting to the IDB Cities Lab Coordinator. The main goal of the Cities LAB is to promote civic innovation and urban experimentation across Latin America and the Caribbean through knowledge sharing and pilot projects aimed at sustainable, inclusive, and equitable urban development. What you’ll do
Manage operational, administrative, and strategic aspects of the urban innovation portfolio. Engage in technical dialogues with local authorities, consultants, and firms to ensure successful project development. Develop and implement capacity-building initiatives, including workshops and mentoring. Create knowledge products like podcasts, publications, and learning materials on urban innovation, economics, and housing policies. Facilitate technical discussions with the private sector, IDB experts, and government counterparts to promote urban solutions. Design, implement, and evaluate technical cooperation projects related to urban development and housing. Participate in missions and workshops, contributing technically to pilot projects. What you'll need
Education:
Master’s degree or equivalent in urban planning, public policy, international development, or related fields. Experience:
Minimum 5 years in project management and urban development, preferably with international organizations or public sectors in Latin America and the Caribbean. Languages:
Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written); knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus. Requirements

Must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries. Assistance with relocation and visas may be provided. •
Consanguinity:
No family members (up to 4th degree of consanguinity or 2nd degree of affinity) working at IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab. Type of contract and duration
