The Ad Sales Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the team for addressable ad sales support for Specialized Analysis & Ops Support, reporting to the Manager, Finance. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the newest growth product and segment for the company as DTC ad sales grows on a global scale. The team works closely with DTC Business Operations, Disney Ad Sales Revenue and Yield Management (RYM), Research, and Technology teams to deliver strategic, financial and operational insights and goals of the global DTC ad sales business.

Job Summary:

The DTC Ad Sales Finance team is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Specialized Analysis and Ops Support function. This individual will support a variety of tasks including ad policy analysis, supply analysis, ad platform initiatives and competitive marketplace analytics.

Due to the market-facing nature of our work and our shifting industry landscape on a global scale, a successful candidate will have the aptitude to efficiently execute routine tasks, advance analysis of the business, successfully work cross-functionally, and contribute to key initiatives.

This role relies on critical thinking and the ability to build knowledge of the streaming ad sales business and learn how an ad supported Direct to Consumer product generates subscribers, inventory, and ultimately ad monetization. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully partner with and clearly communicate between the business operations, ad sales, technology, and finance organizations. An analytical mindset to drive business insights and recommendations with quantifiable impact is needed to thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Analyze and value the impact of proposed changes to the DTC ad policy and/or automation initiatives Analyze and value the impact of changes to the DTC ad supply Competitive marketplace analysis Ad hoc analysis and ad hoc request support to provide financial and decision support Support and provide expertise and insights by content provider, including but not limited to Hulu on Disney+, Hulu Live, ESPN, and ABC News Develop the monthly forecasts, AOP, and long-term plan for sponsorship, integrated marketing, third-party and other non-video revenue Support BI/Reporting initiatives and EPM adoption/implementation

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

0-2 years of experience in a corporate finance / business analytics role (ad sales experience is a plus but not required). Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially using formulas for modeling and quantitative data analysis in Excel. Demonstrated analytical abilities - capable of using data tools to drive decision-making and managing large pools of data. Experience using Snowflake or similar database to acquire and manipulate large amounts of data and proficiency in one or more scripting languages (SQL, python, etc.) to support ad-hoc analysis is a plus but not required. Ability to extract information and communicate how specific details impact the big picture to produce concise, effective, and visually appealing presentations. Acute attention to detail and aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies. Strong work ethic with intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to proactively solve problems by thinking outside-the-box. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact at all levels of the organization and build relationships with business partners internally and externally. Entrepreneurial spirit to continue innovating and adding value. Experience using SAP, COGNOS, or similar financial reporting tool is a plus. Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Finance, Accounting or Economics

The hiring range for this position in California is $85,800.00-$104,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
