A large, well-known electric vehicle manufacturer is urgently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team ON SITE in Palo Alto, CA.
This is a 6+ month contract to hire on W2, offering a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher
At least 5 years of experience in detailed full life cycle development
Expertise in Mixed Signal design methodologies
Experience with High-Speed design methodologies, DDR PCIe, SI / PI
Experience in BMS design and knowledge of PCB manufacturing and design processes
What You Will Be Doing:
System Level Design: Collaborate with and guide domains in electrical implementation, component selection of sensors, actuators, video subsystems, and device functional allocations.
Requirements Definition: Decompose functional requirements into system architectures and component decisions.
Detailed Component Design: Create complete electronic modules adhering to standards.
Designing the main ADAS compute module for reliability in harsh automotive environments, balancing thermal design, compute performance, and reliability.
Work with packaging and CAE engineers to ensure design meets space, durability, and endurance requirements, including full documentation, failure analysis, WCCA, derating analysis, and testing.
Software and Systems Integration: Define hardware-level software requirements and collaborate with software, integration, and release engineers to ensure correct functionality at all levels.
Test and Validation: Ensure components meet rigorous standards, troubleshoot, and resolve failures during validation.
