Lead Software Engineer
to join their development team. The role involves designing, building, and supporting high-quality cloud-based software, as well as maintaining ongoing releases. You will work in an agile environment with a dedicated team of developers to design, code, test, and support cloud-based software releases. The focus is on application development using Golang with Microservices architecture and technologies such as Angular, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, and other cloud technologies. This is a hands-on role requiring coding, design, architecture, and leadership/mentoring of engineers. Responsibilities Assess and manage the software development team and processes Provide guidance and mentorship to team members Develop strategies and assign responsibilities within the team Develop and support cloud-based software and ongoing releases Collaborate with developers and engineers to maintain high-quality applications Review functional specifications for technical soundness Conduct code and specification reviews to ensure standards Work within an Agile team to define, design, develop, test, and support releases Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for support and releases Translate functional specifications into technical requirements and code Provide technical guidance to the team Promote adoption of core technologies, standards, and best practices Communicate effectively with business and technical teams Qualifications Experience leading development teams in Agile environments 6+ years of application development using Golang or C, C++, C# (if no Golang experience) 6+ years of experience with Angular and Bootstrap 4+ years of experience with Microservices Architecture and REST APIs 2+ years developing and deploying applications in Azure Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Experience working in Linux environments Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and tools like JIRA, BitBucket, GIT, Confluence, Visual Studio Azure Cloud experience is a plus Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization experience is a plus SQL experience is a plus Knowledge of SOC2 and PCI compliance is a plus
