About the role:
The Nuclear Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Market Analytics Manager to join our Corporate Development team. This role will play a key part in driving our strategic growth initiatives through in-depth data analysis, financial modeling, and market research, specifically supporting mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions within the nuclear energy industry.
The Manager of Analytics will be responsible for providing critical analytical support to the Corporate Development team, enabling informed decision-making in evaluating potential investment opportunities, assessing market trends, and developing financial projections. This role requires a strong combination of quantitative skills, business acumen, and a passion for the nuclear energy sector. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, finance, engineering, and other internal stakeholders, as well as external advisors.
Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling and Analysis:
Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis. Analyze financial statements, historical performance, and future projections of target companies. Assess the financial impact of various transaction structures and scenarios.
Market Research and Due Diligence:
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities within the nuclear energy sector. Gather and analyze data related to market size, market share, regulatory developments, and technological advancements. Support the due diligence process by collecting, organizing, and analyzing relevant data. Evaluate the strategic fit and potential synergies of target companies.
Data Management and Reporting:
Develop and maintain databases and data repositories to support analytical activities. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate analytical findings to senior management.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the Corporate Development team, finance, engineering, and other internal stakeholders to gather information and provide analytical support. Communicate analytical results and recommendations effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences. Coordinate with external advisors, such as investment banks, consulting firms, and legal counsel.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline analytical processes and methodologies. Develop and implement best practices for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting. Stay up-to-date on the latest analytical tools and techniques.
Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related field. Strong financial modeling skills and experience with valuation methodologies (DCF, comps, etc.). Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced modeling functions. Experience with financial data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) is preferred. Experience with: Data Analysis,Market Research,Valuation,Due Diligence,Project Management. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
