Overview: This role is responsible for maintaining and operating strategic Client systems, including application priorities, bug fixes, operational tasks, direct support, capacity planning, and data fixes. The Sr. Oracle Database Administrator will support custom Oracle database application development, deployment, and implementation of RDBMS solutions. While this is not a core/infra DBA role, it will include partial infrastructure support. The position requires close collaboration with development teams, client DBAs, and Oracle support to ensure optimal database performance, security, and availability. Responsibilities:

Maintain and operate Client strategic systems, including application priorities, bug fixes, operational tasks, and capacity planning. Provide direct support for Oracle database custom application development and deployment. Support database implementation and RDBMS operations in both OLTP and OLAP environments. Collaborate with development teams and client DBAs for disaster recovery setup, rehearsal, and validation. Perform database upgrades, migrations, and version/platform transitions. Conduct SQL and PL/SQL code reviews and performance tuning. Implement and maintain database security controls such as TDE, Data Masking, and Data Redaction. Monitor database health, troubleshoot performance issues, and apply necessary optimizations. Design and develop data models (ERD for LDM, PDM) using tools like Erwin. Support Azure Cloud architecture and integration with Oracle databases. Create and maintain shell scripts for database automation and operational improvements. Collaborate with Oracle support for ticket creation, tracking, and resolution. Define, document, and follow standardization processes. Required Skills:

7+ years of experience in Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and OLTP/OLAP environments. 5+ years of experience with Oracle databases on Linux OS. 5+ years of experience with Oracle 19c or later. 5+ years of SQL, PL/SQL code review, and performance tuning experience. 3+ years of experience with Oracle RAC and Multi-tenant architectures. 3+ years of experience in database health monitoring and optimization. 2+ years of data modeling and design experience using Erwin (ERD for LDM, PDM). 2+ years of experience with Azure Cloud architecture. Expertise in implementing database security controls (TDE, Data Masking, Data Redaction). Strong background in automation and process improvement. Experience with database upgrades and cross-platform/version migrations. Knowledge of named PL/SQL objects (procedures, packages, functions, triggers). Hands-on with Oracle utilities and tools. Shell scripting proficiency. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of other leading RDBMS such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL. Understanding of OLTP and SDLC in database-driven application development. Strong requirements gathering and project planning skills. Technical writing ability. Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
